Hello, my name is Anna. This blog is about all the beautiful islands around the world.

06 oléron

Another French island, this time located only 3km from France (and connected with the mainland by a bridge).
Oléron is the second largest French island, with about 21,000 inhabitans, but as Karine wrote in her postcard "in the summer, with tourists it can be around 300,000!" What a popular island!

Again - the stamps are fantastic, two more colours of the stamp that we've previously seen, and a beautiful big stamp with Madame de Pompadour. Thank you Karine, for this card and stamps!

My big dream is to receive postcards sent from every island in the world (at least those that have a postbox). If you would like to help me, please contact me at letters.from.islands@gmail.com.
